The National Wellness Network, in collaboration with NoD-LB organized a Kidney Health Awareness Day for Professionals. Dr. Sabine Karam, attending physician at Clemenceau Medical Center and assistant professor at University of Balamand, presented first and talked about the Chronic "Kidney Disease & Women Health" and went through the latest research in Lebanon and the area in regards to gender inequalities when managing CKD. Then, Dr. Antoine Stephan, Vice President of NoD-LB introduced the concept of Organ Donation and all the misconceptions that the general public as well as professionals have about it; also, Mrs. Farida Yonan, discussed the "Organ Donation Procedures" and answered all the audience inquiries. Last but not least, a live testimonial was given by a liver recipient (Mr. Omar Chebbo) who talked how his life changed afterwards.
